On June 7th, the 33th Holy Water Festival of Wudalianchi Global Geopark was grandly opened and launching a big opening celebration, a dragon boat racing, an evening of entertainment, Weifeng drum dance and other local folk performance. Tourists from all over the country and local residents gathered to celebrated this large folk festival. The International Round-Volcanoes Half-marathon 2016 has been held during Holy Water Festival. About 2000 athletes, from Russia, America, China and other countries, participated in the race. Moreover, the large myth song and dance drama, Holy Water and Mountains with Everlasting Love of Five Lotus Flowers, has first performed in Wudalianchi during the Holy Water Festival. Historically, after the people found the mineral springs, every year before the festival, people from Oroqen, Ewenki, Manchu and Han nationalities all happily gathered to celebrated this godsent holy water and held activities for celebration.
