Red deer live in alpine forests or grasslands. Like to live in groups. In summer, it is active at night and early in the morning, and in winter it is active during the day. Good at running and swimming. Feeds on various grasses, leaves, twigs, bark and fruits, and likes to lick salt and alkali. Oestrus and mating from September to October, more than 8 months of gestation, 1 litter per litter. Distributed in Asia, Europe, North America and North Africa.
