It’s is the whole grass of the Gramineae plant oil awn. It grows on sunny hillsides, valley grasslands and barren land. The stalk is 60-160cm high, with 4-8 nodes. The leaf sheaths are loosely wrapped around the stem and are hairless. The lower part is longer than the internodes, and the upper part is shorter than the internodes. Flower and fruit period from August to October.
