    Hucho taimen (scientific name: Hucho taimen) is a cold-water freshwater carnivorous fish of the salmon family and genus Hucho taimen. The scales are small and the lateral line is complete. The back of the body is blue-brown, the sides and abdomen are silvery white, and the back of the head is covered with a number of black spots. The matrimonial costume appears during the breeding period.

   Mainly distributed in northern Asia, from the Volga River Basin in the west, the Pechora River Basin in the east, the Heilongjiang River Basin in the south, and the Lena River Basin in the north. They are found in the upper reaches of Heilongjiang, the upper reaches of the Nenjiang River, Mudanjiang and Wusu in China. Lijiang River, Songhua River, Jingbo Lake, Irtysh River. Jerome live in turbulent streams most of the time. In winter, it lives in deeper water bodies such as main rivers and lakes, and migrates to streams to lay eggs in spring. Prey on fish and frogs, snakes, rodents, birds, etc. that live by water.
