Wudiao (scientific name: Aquila clanga Pallas), also known as Huadiao and Small Flower Soap Carving, belongs to the national second-class protected animal. The black sculpture is 61-74 cm long and weighs 1.310-2.100 kg. The whole body is dark brown. The back is slightly embellished with purple luster. The chin, throat and chest are dark brown, and the rest of the lower body is slightly lighter. It inhabits grasslands and woodlands near wetlands. It mostly hunts while flying or lying on the ground. It feeds on fish, frogs, rats and other animals, as well as scarabs and locusts. Produced in Northeast China, North China, East China, Central South and Xinjiang.
