On 26th, April, Zhijin Cave Global Geopark held the Chinese Global Geopark Annual Meeting themed “Marching Towards to the New Era of Global Geopark”. During the meeting , Zhijin Cave established friendly sister relationship with Wudalianchi, Mountain Tai, Zhangjiajie and other nine global geoparks of China, and also processed wide communication in the fields of geopark’s infrastructure construction, scientific research and popularization, Internet interaction, management training and concept of sign design system. The annual meeting was hosted by the Department of Geoenvironment of Ministry of Land and Resources, Bijie City People’s Government, Guizhou Provincial Department ofLandResources, Zhijin County’s People’s Government and Bijie City’s Land and Resources Bureau. And it was undertook by Zhijin Cave Global Geopark which is the new member of Chinse Global Geopark Network Center, Global Geopark Network Center and UNSECO’s GGN. Moreover, this meeting was attended by 33 Global Geoparks of China, representatives of Global Geopark candidates, Land and Resources Department of some relative province and some well-knownspecialistsand scholars. Hans Dencker Thulstrup, the natural science project officer of UNESCO’s China Country Office; Chen Xiaoning, the deputy director general of the Department of Geoenvironment , Ministry of Land and Resources; Yuan Xiaohong, the head of the Department of Geoenvironment , Ministry of Land and Resources; Wang Xiaolie , the director of Chinese Geoparks Network were attend the meeting and all involved in the discussions about the management, protection and development of Global Geopark under the new environment of UNESCO, and how to take the unique advantages of Global Geopark. In addition, the signing ceremony has been held during the meeting . Zhijin Cave Global Geopark established the sister relationships with Wudalianchi, Huangshan, Moutain Tai and other nine global geoparks of China. After becoming the sister geopark, each party will continuously promote global geoparks sustainable development and widely communicate in infrastructure construction, scientific research and popularization in order to make positive contributions for geologicalheritages conservation.
