On 26th December, national hiking activity of China in 2015 was held successfully in Wudalianchi Global Geopark. On the subject of “viewing geological wonders, finding happiness from ice and snow”, there were totally 233 competitors from China, Russia and South Korea took part in the hiking activity.
In Wudalianchi Global Geopark, there are 14 new and old volcanoes in the area of 790.11 square kilometers, as very precious geoheritage that volcanic activities left us. The volcanic geological landforms are very typical, intensively distributed and well preserved. In winter, Wudalianchi so snow-wrapped and silver-coated as a beautiful painting, which attracts many hiking enthusiasts.
This national hiking activity is approved by State General Administration of Sports and hosted by Mountaineering Management Center From April of this year, the activity had been held in Guangxi, Heilongjiang, Gansu, Heibei, Heinan, Sichuan and Guizhou separately. Until 27 th December, national hiking activity of China in 2015 was successfully closed in Wudalianchi Global Geopark.
