The First Chinese Volcanic Geoparks Forum (CVGF) was held in Yandangshan Global Geopark on 25-28 Aug.2015. As the co-organizer and sistering geoparks, Mr. Lu Xuguang, the vice director of Wudalianchi Global Geopark Administration Committee and other three staff attended the meeting.
CVGF which was advocated by Pro. Tao Kuiyuan and Dr. Wu Zhenyang was co-organized by Yandangshan Global Geopark, Wudalianchi Global Geopark, Ningde Global Geopark, Leiqiong Global Geopark and Jingpohu Global Geopark. The first forum was held in Yandangshan Global Geopark. Experts and representatives from 8 countries attended the meeting. The theme was Experiences Sharing, Cooperation Enhancing, Sustainable Development.
Representative of Wudalianchi Global Geopark gave the oral presentation with the theme at Holy Water Festival and Volcanoes in Wudalianchi Global Geopark. During the meeting, Chinese Volcanic Geoparks Alliance was established. And Pro. Tao declared that the Second CVGF will be held in Wudalianchi Global Geopark.
