From 22nd, August to 23rd, August，Dr. Yang Jiaming lead a delegation from Hong Kong Global Geopark visited Wudalianchi Global Geopark for exchange and communication. During the visit, two Geoparks exchanged experiences and good ideas on geo-conservation, science popularization, education program, international communication. In the field trip, Dr. Yang Jiaming visited the tourist maps,interpretation panels, signboards, warning boards and other facilities, and then gave many good points of view. He said, “ all theinterpretation panels should be clear and useful in easy language but not in technical scientific language so that it can tell people the geological knowledge very efficiently.The tourist map should be very simple and clear to ensure that tourists can be familiar with the scenic spots and tourist routes before they start the tour. After the field trip, an exchange meeting was held for two Geoparks to discuss the current situation of geo-conservation and development with each other.In October, 2012, Hong Kong Global Geopark and Wudalianchi Global Geopark signed the“sister” cooperation agreement.From then on, two Geoparks often took exchange visit for common development.
