On 25th June 500 students from Beijing Chaoyang Middle School arrived at Wudalianchi Global Geopark and began to accepted science popularization.
Wudalianchi Global Geopark has been focusing on science popularization and staff training in recent years. Dr.Setsuya Nakada, Dr. Pasquale Li Puma, Dr. Liu Jiaqi and Professor Tao Kuiyuan are employed as consultants of the Geopark. Over 200 interpretation panels were remade, and Visitor Center, Museum, Volcano and Earthquake Science Museum were rebuilt. Such books as Travel in Wudalianchi with Volcano Baby and Volcano and Volcano Landscape were compiled and published. All the improvements in infrastructure have greatly pushed forward science work.
In addition, the Geopark gave tickets, science books as presents to universities, middle schools and elementary schools students and had summer science camps to encourage them to hold science activity here.
