    The mustela (scientific name: Mustela altaica) is an animal belonging to the Mustela family and the Mustela genus. The ferret is small in size, with a slender body, a long neck and short limbs. The back hair is brown in summer and the belly is white. In winter, the boundary between the back and abdomen is unclear, almost uniformly yellowish brown.

    The scented weasel has many single activities. It is active during the day or night. It lives in a burrow, has a vigilant temperament, and is quick and agile. It mainly feeds on small rodents. It comes into estrus from March to April every year. It produces 6-8 litters per litter. It usually inhabits forests. Forest grasslands, alpine shrubs and meadows are distributed in some areas of the subspecies. The ferret has been included in the "World Conservation Union" (IUCN) 2008 Red List of Endangered Species.
