The upper body is slate gray. The tail feathers are dark gray with wide black horizontal spots at the ends. When feeding, you mainly use your beak to peck, or use your beak to poke the surface soil first, and then pecking at the seeds and rhizomes buried underneath, pecking while walking. This bird is a rare caged ornamental bird that mainly breeds in Heilongjiang, Jilin and other provinces or the vast areas of the north, and part of it migrates to the wetlands of Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi and other provinces to survive the winter in winter. The white-naped crane is a rare bird under China's national second-class protection.
