New Period Volcanic Geological Sightseeing Area of Laohei Volcano and Huoshao Volcano
In the new volcanic geological sightseeing area of Laohei Volcano and Huoshao Volcano are the most exciting chapters in the open volcano textbook of Wudalianchi! The lava mesa here is vast, magnificent and shocking, with small and exquisite micro-topography, strange shapes. And typical rock flows, canyons, mineral springs, lakes, and caves are perfect . The scenic area is about 50 square kilometers, and there are more than 100 geological ecological landscape craters, stone seas, stone rivers, jet cones, Huoshao Volcano Grand Canyon, and volcanic poplars. Let us walk into this natural volcano geology museum, read this open volcano textbook, and watch this melodrama of life succession.
Everything in the universe is alive, and so is the earth. The first type of eruption of Wudalianchi volcano was Hawaiian eruption—a quiet overflow of magma, which formed 11 shield volcanoes and a lava platform of more than 960 square kilometers. The second is the Stromboli-style eruption-a large amount of volcanic debris was ejected, forming 14 layered volcanic cones. According to geologists, the two new volcanoes with a history of only more than two hundred years are active volcanoes. They are also called dormant volcanoes ,because they have no eruptive activity for the time being. There will always be many precursors before such volcanic eruptions, such as melting of snow and ice in rivers and lakes in winter, rising spring water temperature, thick smoke from cracks in the ground, continuous small earthquakes, unpleasant sulphur smell in the atmosphere, and silverware will change. Humans can prevent and avoid disasters based on these signs.
Many friends have visited the Danxia landform and karst landform, but Laohei Volcano is a special basalt landform. The reason for its formation is that the magma in the deep part of the earth overflowed in 1719 in the weak zone of the ancient Udlin Lake along the crustal fracture. Flowing along the low-lying places of ancient lakes, it filled up 64 square kilometers of lake area, leaving 45 square kilometers of dammed lake, forming a new volcanic geological body.
There is a poem saying: the black dragon has no head, and there is a fire at the top. The five lakes are embedded in the sea, and the peaks are in sight. Here is majestic, magnificent and shocking, small, graceful and exquisite, and more broad, deep and peaceful. The new-stage volcanic eruption exposed lava platform in the area is vast and spectacular; various micro-landform landscapes are unique in shape, and rock flows, canyons, springs, lakes, and caves are very typical and perfect. Except for Laohei Vocano and Huoshao Volcano, the other twelve volcanoes in Wudalianchi are all extinct volcanoes. They have never lost their temper since the record of human history. Laohei Vocano and Huoshao Vocano preserve the most typical dormant volcanic geology in the world.
Laohei Vocano is the youngest new volcano in our country, and it is the best place to overlook the mountain. The layered main volcanic cone in the distance is composed of dark brown volcanic gravel and volcanic slag. The green vegetation in summer and the white snow in winter can’t conceal its black luster. In order to commemorate the legendary, little black dragon who blocked the sea’s eyes for the benefit of the people, the people of Guandong affectionately called it Laohei Volcano (The nick name of Zhongheilong is Laohei). According to the records of Heilongjiang Foreign Records, In the southeast of Morgen, a fire broke out in the ground for one day, rocks soared, and the sound shook the fields. The fire went out for a few days, and the ground became a pond. This happened in the fifty-eighth year of Kangxi (1719). So far, it is said to be different. Located at the core of Wudalianchi volcano group, this mountain has a truncated cone shape with an altitude of 515.9 meters and a relative height of 165.9 meters. The diameter of the base is 1300 meters. After geological investigation, Laohei Volcano has erupted six times. The mountain is formed by overlapping two volcanic cones in the morning and evening. The south slope is steep and the north slope is gentle, like a horseshoe. The difference between morning and evening can be seen from the density of vegetation. It is a dormant volcano.
