Wudalianchi Global Geopark Museum is located in the center of the new town of Wudalianchi Global Geopark, with a total land area of 26,000 square meters, a total construction area of 15,000 square meters, and an exhibition area of 8,500 square meters. The exterior architectural design of the museum makes full use of the unique natural symbols of Wudalianchi. It’s featured as the single shape of the jet cone disc and overall structure of the volcanic dammed lake connected by five streams with staggered state. The elements of volcanic element is prominent with novel and unique structure and design style. The internal exhibition space is mainly divided into five exhibition halls: Global Volcano and Global Geopark, Wudalianchi Volcano, Wudalianchi Mineral Spring, Wudalianchi Ecology, and Wudalianchi Culture.

The museum is positioned as Hands-on Inquiry Based Learning(HIBL), health care and vacation in Wudalianchi, and strive to builds the top volcanic geology museum, China Volcano Research Center, and Volcano Mineral Spring Research Base. The exhibition design makes full use of modern scientific and technological means to comprehensively, systematically and vividly display the world's volcanoes , Wudalianchi volcano, as well as mineral spring resources, ecosystems, and minority folk culture, which is derived from volcanic geological movements. In addition to the five main exhibition halls, there are also specimen laboratories, academic research rooms and a 3D cinema that can accommodate nearly 400 people. It is conducive to the collection, research, publicity and education and protect the world's rare resources.
