While the International Museum Day is approaching, on May 17th, the Museum of the Wudalianchi Global Geopark signed“co-construction between museum and schools”agreement with the Education Office of Wudalianchi, and hired nine students as young commentators of the museum. Commentators from the Museum of the Wudalianchi Global Geopark explained to these students about methods to deal with earthquakes when at home, school and in vehicles, had simulation exercise with them, to make the students master the earthquake prevention and disaster reduction knowledge in the practical exercises.
These students guides will receive professional“pre-service training”from the museum to learn language expression, geological knowledge, custom and culture, ceremonial gestures. They will also have chances to participate in explanation and reception work for important events of the museum in the future.
