Situated in the northern corner of East and West Jiaodebu Volcanoes, this area features two lava tunnels — Crystal Cave and White Dragon Cave. These lava tunnels are underground caves carved out by lava from East and West Jiaodebu Volcanoes during the flowing process. This type of lava terrain is unique in China.
Crystal Cave is 150 meters long. Ice in the tunnel never melts all year round, and attractive ice sculptures blend harmoniously with natural ice crystals.
White Dragon Cave is 515 meters long with slope or level bottom. The cave branches out and there is a pillar in the middle. The cave top and rock walls are covered with lava stalactites and lava spines. Frozen all year round, the cave has been nicknamed “Ice River”.
