Panax notoginseng is a kind of plant with thick and woody root neck, non-spacing leaves, flat and alternate. Inflorescence corymbose, densely blooming flowers; flowers 5-6 radix; sepals not separable, narrow, obtuse; petals shortly pointed, 1-2 mm at base, connate, yellow; scales square or slightly wider; carpels connate at 1-2.5 mm. The follicles are arranged in a star shape, 7 mm long; the seeds are oval, about 1 mm long.
