On December 11, the 9th Heilongjiang Brand Festival · 2025 Heilongjiang Provincial Brand Value Release Conference, together with the launching ceremony of the "Telling China's Stories" International Creative Communication Competition Heilongjiang Division, was held in Harbin. Relying on its profound resource endowment and outstanding brand-building achievements, Wudalianchi Global Geopark stood out from the rest and clinched two important provincial-level honors in one fell swoop—it was successfully selected into the list of "Top 10 Tourism Scenic Spot Brands for 2025 Brand Cultivation in Heilongjiang" and was awarded the title of "Top 10 Tourism Brand Towns for 2025 Brand Cultivation in Heilongjiang", emerging as one of the most eye-catching benchmarks in the cultural tourism sector of this conference.
With the theme of "Heilongjiang Brands, China's Strength; Global Communication, Shared by the World", this conference was guided by units including the Heilongjiang Provincial Administration for Market Regulation and the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. Hosted in both Chinese and English, it was broadcast live globally. The conference gathered nearly 500 representatives from relevant provincial departments, local governments and key enterprises. On-site, it authoritatively released the 2025 Heilongjiang Provincial Brand Value Evaluation Report and announced the "Top 10 Brands" series of lists in four major fields such as agriculture, industry and tourism services, presenting the achievements of Heilongjiang's brand construction in a concentrated manner and injecting new impetus into the revitalization of county economies.
As a global geopark, a world biosphere reserve and a national 5A-level tourist attraction, Wudalianchi boasts unique natural landscapes shaped by two million years of volcanic activities. Fourteen volcanic cones, five beaded barrier lakes and world-renowned cold spring resources in the area set off each other, forming a magnificent geological wonder. In recent years, based on its resource characteristics, the scenic area has actively innovated and expanded the diversified integrated development models such as "tourism + health preservation", "tourism + red culture" and "tourism + ice-snow economy". It has continuously enriched the tourism product system and improved infrastructure and supporting services, making the brand image of "a famous mineral spring tourism city and a capital of leisure and health preservation" increasingly popular among the public. Winning both scenic spot and town brand honors this time fully demonstrates its distinct feature of "integration of scenic area and town, all-for-one development" and strong comprehensive competitiveness.
The acquisition of these two honors is not only a vivid embodiment of Heilongjiang Province's implementation of the deployment for building a "Quality Heilongjiang" in the field of cultural tourism, but also a full recognition of Wudalianchi Global Geopark's long-term efforts in brand cultivation.
