With winter setting in, to prevent ice collapse and drowning accidents and effectively safeguard people’s lives and property, the Work Safety Committee Office of the Scenic Area hereby issues the following solemn reminders:
At present, the bearing capacity of the ice surface is unpredictable and liable to collapse, posing grave risks. Residents and tourists are strictly prohibited from venturing onto the ice for fishing, frolicking, playing or any other activities. Vehicle passage on the ice is forbidden to avert drowning and fatal accidents.
Parents shall attach great importance to safety education for children, and forbid minors from playing on the ice surfaces of rivers and lakes. Efforts should be made to enhance children’s safety awareness and jointly build a solid safety line for them.
All residents are encouraged to pass this notice to one another, act as safety advocates, foster a strong safety culture, and promptly dissuade any dangerous ice-related behaviors observed nearby.
In case of discovering a drowning person, if onlookers are not capable of rescue, do not attempt to enter the water recklessly. While shouting loudly for help, immediately dial the emergency numbers 110 (police), 119 (fire rescue) and 120 (ambulance) to carry out a scientific rescue operation.
