During the golden week of the National Day, Wudalianchi UNESCO Global Geopark received a new wave of the tourism peak. In order to ensure the efficient operation of the tourism industry, the travel safety of the tourists and the attentive and satisfactory services during the holidays, all departments of Wudalianchi UNESCO Global Geopark jointly managed and carried out special inspections into various scenic spots and the enterprises in tourism service industry or involved so as to provide high-quality and efficient services to the tourists.
The Administrative Committee of the Wudalianchi UNESCO Global Geopark made full use of the working mechanism of "1 + 3 + N", meticulously built a comprehensive supervision platform for the holiday tourism market, and played an important role in initiating the joint actions by multiple departments, i.e. the Market Supervision Bureau and Fire Department carried out many inspections; the entire staff of the Public Security Bureau and the Transportation Department were out on duty to guide the tourists; the Administrative Bureau of the Scenic Area and the Ticketing Department have set up many stations for ticket sale and consulting services so as to provide warm and convenient services to the tourists. During the period, Wudalianchi UNESCO Global Geopark did not receive any complaints from the tourists and not any safety emergency event occurred.
According to the statistics, during the golden week, the number of the tourists to Wudalianchi UNESCO Global Geopark showed an increasing trend. As of October 7th, the total number of the received tourists was up to 109,000, a year-on-year increase of 37%, and the tourism revenue has exceeded 30 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24%. More than 90% of the tourists are self-driving. In the previous years, the majority of the self-driving tourists were from the Northeast China, however in this year, there was an increase in the number of the self-driving tourists from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Beijing, Inner Mongolia and other places.
