Two evaluators, professor Nikolaos Zouros and professor Henning Zellmer completed the revalidation mission to Wudalianchi Global Geopark on 19th July.
They listened to the progress report, referred to relative documents and inspected Museum, Volcano and Earthquake Monitoring Station, Tourist
Center, local community and important geoheritages. They also exchanged views with geopark managers about the improvements in light of the eight recommendations given by GGN in 2012. They suggested Wudalianchi Global Geopark to hold international geopark conference and improve communication with other members of GGN.
The revalidation of the membership of the Global Geoparks Network will be discussed by the GGN Bureau at the 6th International UNESCO Conference on Geoparks being held at the Stonehammer Global Geopark, Canada. The delegation of Wudalianchi Global Geopark will attend the conference and give an oral presentation.
